These series of drawings are related to physical forces to give a visceral and immediate impact to abstract dualities such as presence/absence and solidity/intangibility. Examining the roles of light and depth to create spatial conundrums that suggest vortices, forces, or eventsI intend to refer to primeval spaces such as the cave, the burrow, or the ocean floor. Liminal metaphors of an uncertain and  dangerous habitat.
